Report from the Estevan October 2022:
We are back from 3 months at sea on the FV “Estevan” which performed well. Our summer journey took us from Vancouver to Astoria to the high seas and the tuna fishing grounds.
This was a hot season with consistently high performance in the entire fishing fleet, including yours truly. What does this mean? More tuna for our loyal customers.
Very calm weather this year and nice warm days. Some days we were catching well into the night, even getting a few truly legendary night bites. We caught hundreds of fish even after the sun went down. Seems like the tuna this year enjoy their midnight snacks.
This year it was just my youngest son and I working on the boat. Nice to spend time with family. Lots of whales and dolphin friends in sight and we even rescued a few bird friends who got lost. These birds are so friendly they must be escaped pets.
We have full stock of all our canned Tuna, and some 30 lb boxes of Tuna Loins, available now. Order now as not every season can be as good as this one.
